Regulators 0; Norwegians 1; consumers in the hole

Nice little study that shows how, in the salmon industry, the Norwegians, in an attempt to avoid EU anti-dumping fines of 13%, invoked minimum prices, a growth ceiling and a feeding restriction program. The result was not only no fines, by a 14-15% increase in the price of Norwegian fish (money collected by the Norwegian fish farmers). & the paper found no dumping had actually occurred in the first place!

Should I add, with all those oil revenues, this amounts to taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich just to protect other EU salmon farmers.
