The Open Society and its Enemies condensed

leave a comment »

The Open Society and its Enemies by Karl Popper runs to 800 pages, over 200 consisting of notes in smaller print. Most people, especially thesis writers like Mark B are just too busy to take on that type of reading and, moreover, for many students, if it is not on the net, forget it. So to help Mark I am working on a condensed version.

This is the first in a series of posts, originally on the Matt McIntosh “Conjectures and Refutations” site, reducing the first volume of the OSE to about 40 pages.

Incidentally, Nicholas has kindly sent a link to a review of the collected papers from the New Zealand 2002 Popper conference.
